How we list companies

Declutt covers three kinds of help and nothing else. A company is listed only when we can see that it offers one of them as a service of its own.

Where the list starts

We start from business listings on Google Maps within about 25 miles of central Denver. We remove businesses marked as closed and merge duplicate listings for the same company.

Then we read each company's Google profile and website to see what it says it does. The Denver list was last checked in October 2026 and has 197 companies.

What each category requires

Professional organizers (87)
Home organizing or decluttering has to be a real service of the company. Closet builders, home stagers, concierge services and cleaners without an organizing service are left out.
Hoarding cleanup (64)
The company has to present hoarding cleanup as its own service. That means a page about it on its website, an entry in the services on its Google profile, or a clear description of the service in its own words.
Estate cleanouts (86)
The same rule applies: estate cleanouts have to be presented as a service of their own.

Hauling companies

Much hoarding and estate work is done by junk hauling companies. We do not list general junk removal. A hauling company appears here only under hoarding cleanup or estate cleanouts, and only when it meets the rule above. A name in a long list of services, an answer in an FAQ or a line in a price list is not enough.

70 of the 197 companies are hauling companies. They are labeled, and each list has a switch to hide them.

What we do not check

We check what a company says it offers. We do not inspect its work, and we do not verify licenses, insurance or background checks. Ask for proof of insurance and a written quote before any job starts.

Company profiles are written from each company's own website and Google profile. Each fact shows where it came from. Prices and services change, so confirm the details with the company.

Ratings and review counts come from Google and are shown as they were when we last checked. Opening hours and services also come from each company's Google profile.

If you run one of these companies, or see a mistake, you can claim or correct a listing.
